Handcrafted Scottish jewellery - Silver Gibbous necklace

Argyll jewellery artist Caitlin has been inspired by decorated objects found in Kilmartin Glen, 30 miles south of Oban. The linear patterned texture is created using her hand-forged tools in a process called chasing, which dates back to the third century BC. Named gibbous in relation to the form of the moon, the markings are said to connect patterns of the moon and tide
